It makes that much of a difference.īut honestly, if I'm not mistaken all of your fears (controller, rumble, cut stuff) is all taken care of with not much time and it's easily worth it for the upgrade you're getting over the console versions.Įdit: beaten with links and stuff. I'm talking not hitting a 60fps on an it 4690k and a 970. The only thing to watch out for, something that I didn't understand at first and something that made me give up on entire installations of the game, is that certain "Audio Hardware" choices on the in game options screen will make the game lag horribly.

Unlock the framerate then cap it with RTSS and you'll be running the games at locked 60fps with fantastic IQ and you will not regret it. There's even patches for the cut content (most of, if not all). Check out the PC Gaming Wiki pages (mobile so I can't do a full break down for you) and you will get links to fixes and whatnot. GTA V is just a better game, no question.

I loved Vice City, it's my favorite GTA (nostalgia + 80's soundtrack), but San Andreas is a better game. Getting the PC versions up and running is not nearly as difficult or long winded as you might expect. I remember when this same thread happened (on multiple forums) with San Andreas vs Vice City.
